Dr. Amanda Craig is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the states of New York and Connecticut, has a doctorate in Family Psychology and is an AAMFT board-approved supervisor. She is owner and operator of Manhattan Marriage and Family Therapy, with offices in Midtown Manhattan, Darien CT and Stamford CT. Her practice focuses on couples and families and has a unique and eclectic approach that combines emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavior techniques and strength based healing. 

Over her career Dr. Craig has worked in a variety of settings including: senior director of services at an outpatient substance abuse treatment center, clinical director for a juvenile sex offender program, intervention specialist in a high school special education department, counselor in an employee assistance program, and research assistant at the University of Minnesota. She has taught classes in the MFT departments at both Iona College and Mercy College. 

Dr. Craig’s approach to therapy is to provide a safe and comfortable place to discuss issues and concerns, and ultimately to facilitate the discovery of solutions. Dr. Craig works together with patients to uncover how/when/where the problem started and explore different ways to effect change in both ourselves and the entire family system.
